The position is located in the Spokane office.

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining the TPA industry integrity of First Choice Health Administrators relating to Eligibility and COBRA Administration by providing exemplary services according to department standards.

Main Duties


  • Process Eligibility Enrollments and Terminations efficiently and timely within department standards.
  • Process EDI related errors and perform the entry of Client specific pre-existing waiting period data received.
  • Process address updates according to Client method and instructions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all Clients related to their eligibility issues or concerns.
  • Follow department Policy and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
COBRA/Administration Fees Billing
  • Process all aspects of COBRA Administration according to Client Administrative Service Agreements and COBRA federal regulations.
  • Perform monthly COBRA premium billing
  • Maintain COBRA eligibility accordingly.
  • Apply COBRA premium payments for each Client.
  • Process COBRA Notices two times per week according to department standards.
  • Follow department Policy and Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School diploma/GED with a strong background in the healthcare industry required.
  • Experience in COBRA administration required.
  • 3 to 5 years billing in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience in eligibility preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of team.
  • Strong customer service background, working with both internal and external customers.
  • Prior experience in process improvement methodology.
  • Prior experience in performing multiple duties required.
  • Intermediate software application experience with Medical Billing software and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
